Zero Wave Elite Zbuds Specifications

Zero Audio App

Most budget buds come with fixed controls. With the Wave Elite you can install the Zero Audio app on Android or iPhone, decide what single, double, long and triple taps do on each earbud, and adjust the sound to your taste. If you’ve ever paused a song by accident while fixing an earbud, you’ll appreciate this.

Sound and Calls on the Zero Wave Elite Zbuds

The 13mm drivers give full bass and clear vocals, and the in-ear fit with the included tips keeps the sound focused. For calls, two mics on each bud work with ENC to lower background noise, so you can be heard on a busy road. ENC is for calls only and doesn’t block outside noise while you listen. Our ANC vs ENC guide explains the difference.

Gaming Mode

Switch on gaming mode and latency drops to about 45ms, so sounds in PUBG, Free Fire and Valorant Mobile stay in time with the screen.

Battery Life and Charging

Zero’s spec sheet lists 5 hours per charge and 30 hours in total with the 700mAh case, while one of its banners shows 60 hours. We’d plan around the spec sheet figure. A full charge over Type-C takes 1 to 2 hours, and standby is up to 100 hours.

Water Resistance

IPX5 means sweat, rain and splashes are fine, so they’re good for the gym. Don’t wear them in the shower or the pool.
