Ronin Fuel Pro R-8505: AA batteries you charge with a phone cable
Ordinary AA cells are a quiet monthly expense. The TV remote, the wall clock, the wireless mouse, the kids’ toys and the BP machine all eat through them, and every dead cell goes in the bin. The Ronin Fuel Pro R-8505 fixes that. Each cell has a small USB Type-C port in the top, so you plug it into the same charger and cable you already use for your phone, top it up and put it back.
Unlike old NiMH rechargeables that sit at 1.2V, Fuel Pro is a lithium cell with a regulated 1.5V output, the same as a fresh alkaline battery. Devices that are fussy about voltage, like digital thermometers, BP monitors and some game controllers, work properly instead of showing a low-battery warning straight away.
Key features of the Ronin Fuel Pro
- USB Type-C charging: charge each cell directly with any 5V USB charger. No special battery charger to buy or lose.
- 1332mAh / 2000mWh per cell: high-density lithium cells (minimum 1200mAh) for long runtime between charges.
- Constant 1.5V output: steady power right through the charge, so devices don’t get weaker as the battery runs down.
- Up to 2A output: enough current for trimmers, flashlights, RC toys and wireless controllers.
- 1000+ recharge cycles: one pack can replace hundreds of disposable cells.
- Built-in protection: guards against overcharging, over-discharging, overcurrent and short circuits.
- Leak-resistant, low self-discharge: safer for expensive devices and holds charge when stored.
Where you can use Fuel Pro AA batteries
Anything that takes standard AA cells: TV and AC remotes, wireless keyboards and mice, wall clocks, kids’ toys and RC cars, torches, beard trimmers, cameras, door locks, BP monitors and Xbox or other wireless game controllers. In Pakistani homes where the remote, the clock and the toys all run on AA, a four-pack pays for itself quickly.
How to charge the Ronin Fuel Pro
Take the cell out of your device, plug a USB Type-C cable into the port on its top and connect it to a normal 5V phone charger or a laptop USB port. Each cell charges at 500mA. Charge within 0°C to 45°C, which is easy indoors even in summer, and keep the cells out of a hot car dashboard.
Good to know: because the voltage stays at 1.5V until the cell is nearly empty, some devices show a full battery icon right up to the end and then switch off. That’s normal for 1.5V lithium cells. When that happens, just recharge.
