The TP-Link Tapo C200C is an indoor Wi-Fi security camera that turns left, right, up and down from your phone, so one camera can watch a whole room. It records in 1080p Full HD, sees up to 40 feet in the dark, and sends an alert to your phone when it spots movement, a person or a crying baby. Two-way audio lets you talk through it, and recordings save to a microSD card of up to 512GB. Everything runs through the free Tapo app.

Good to know: the camera connects to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only. If your router shows two network names, choose the 2.4GHz one during setup. It’s made for indoor use and needs to stay plugged into power.

How to Set Up the Tapo C200C

• Install the free Tapo app and sign in with a TP-Link ID.
• Plug in the camera and wait for the LED to blink.
• Tap + in the app, choose the C200C and connect it to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
• Insert a microSD card (up to 512GB) if you want recordings saved on the camera.
• Place it on a shelf or table, or mount it on the ceiling with the screws in the box, then set your detection alerts.
