Noise Cancellation, Calls and Gaming
The ANC works best on steady, low sounds such as a running fan, generator hum or the engine on a long drive. For calls, the three mics pick up your voice. Audionic doesn’t list ENC, though, so on a busy road the other person may still hear some of the noise around you.
For PUBG, Free Fire and YouTube, switch on gaming mode. Audionic rates it at 50ms, low enough that footsteps and gunshots stay in sync with the screen. If you play a lot and want earbuds instead, have a look at the Audionic Trance Airbud 820 or the Audionic Trance Airbud 850.
Battery Life and Charging
Audionic quotes 60 hours at 60% volume. With ANC on all the time and the volume up, expect less, as with any ANC headphones. For most people that still means charging about once a week. A full charge over USB-C takes about 1.5 hours according to the spec sheet (Audionic’s banner says 2 hours), and the light shows when it’s charging.
When the battery does run out, plug in the included 3.5mm AUX cable and keep listening. That’s handy on long trips, or with a laptop that has a headphone jack.
Comfort and Design
The ear cups are well padded and rotate, and the headband adjusts, so they sit comfortably on most head sizes. At 241g they’re on the light side for over-ear headphones, which helps when you wear them for a few hours.
